I gained a lot of confidence with my conversation skills. I feel like I can sustain a casual conversation with native japanese speakers. A fact proven to be true during my trips in Japan. I really like the talkative approach of the lessons!

I took private lessons because I'm living in Japan but get very little Japanese speaking practice. I gained lots of speaking practice which I was lacking and each lesson was tailored to my questions from the previous lessons.

When I started taking my first Japanese Classes I only knew a few words and the Japanese alphabet, but as I proceeded my Japanese lessons with Luna Sensei my Japanese has gotten better and I learned the culture as well as communication skills!

I enjoy speaking with Luna-sensei and learning about the Japanese culture with her! It's great to get tips and have someone I can ask questions about Japanese as I try to navigate my learning! It's been a great having lessons with her!

I gained the ability to have casual conversation, get around in Japan, and interact with store workers. I was able to buy really unique souvenirs by talking to staff in Japanese which I wasn't able to do before these lessons.

I have improved my speaking skill significantly since I started learning Japanese with NihongoNana and I am very enthusiastic! Both Nao-sensei and Luna-sensei are very kind, prepared and patient. I highly recommend NihongoNana!

In the twelve lessons with Luna sensei I improved my overall japanese language skill. Reading and speaking as well as grammar were topics in the lessons. It was a fun time and Luna sensei is a very good and kind teacher.

I had very little previous knowledge but now I am more empowered to learn even further with a fun and amazing teacher and expand my Japanese skills - I can highly recommend Nana sensei for anyone wanting to learn from scratch or develop further 🙂

Private lessons have been more engaging and beneficial than studying textbooks, the teachers are patient and experts at explaining in simple ways that I can understand. Also the SKOOL app is beneficial because I can go back and review other lessons.

This course has given me the confidence needed to try speaking and writing in a new and exciting language. Nana tailors all of my lessons based on my feedback/needs and I feel like I have made a lifelong friend in the process!

I've learned how to use many grammar points correctly with Nana-sensei. She provides very simple explanations which makes it so much easier to understand. I have also had a lot of practice speaking in Japanese (my worst nightmare)!

Increased vocabulary, confidence in speaking and improved listening comprehension. Also learned how to speak in a more natural way and learned more grammar that is useful in everyday conversation. I also learned practical Japanese for travel.

I started with very basic understanding of Japanese and now I can read hiragana and katakana comfortably. I am now working on conversation. I am hoping to take my N5 level this year. It has become very important for me since I work often in Japan.

Learned a lot of grammar that was missing to me for example te-form, ~ましょうか, etc. and a lot of vocabulary. It has in this short time really elevated my ability to communicate in Japanese and I am looking forward to continue my journey!

I am so grateful that I decided to take up private lessons with Nana-san. Through her engaging lessons, she encourages me to practise speaking without feeling much pressure. This helps me gain confidence in speaking, reading and writing.

I have learned so much from Nana-sensei! She even prepared a unit just for me to prepare for my trip to Japan. I've learned REAL functional Japanese and each lesson is exciting and fun. Lessons with Nana are something I look forward to every week.

The motivation to keep learning Japanese. I appreciate how Luna Sensei speaks mostly in Japanese to help the lesson feel fully immersed. I like how lessons are made to fit my skill level. It makes me feel like I am not relearning things.

My goal has always been to have a better understanding and recognition of common conversations, and how to respond effectively. Luna-sensei has, and continues, to not only give me that knowledge, but the confidence to execute it.
