Meet FAMIMA: FamilyMart’s New Kind of Convenience Store

2026年ねん7月がつ、ファミリーマートから新あたらしいコンビニ「FAMIMA」が誕生たんじょうしました！✨ 最初さいしょのお店みせは、東京とうきょう・麻布台あざぶだいにある「FAMIMA PARK AZABUDAI」です。

普通ふつうのファミリーマートと少すこし違ちがって、「わざわざ行いきたくなるコンビニ」がテーマです。

「わざわざ」は、何なにかをするために、時間じかんや手間てまをかけて行動こうどうすることです。「わざわざ行いきたくなるコンビニ」は、少すこし遠とおくても、時間じかんをかけて行いきたいと思おもうコンビニという意味いみです😊

お店みせの外そとにはベンチがあり、買かったコーヒーやファミチキを食たべながら休やすむこともできます☕️
外国がいこくから来きた人ひとにも使つかいやすいように、多言語たげんごの案内あんないや商品しょうひんを説明せつめいするスタッフもいます。FAMIMAだけで買かえる限定げんていグッズや服ふくもあり、新あたらしい公式こうしきキャラクターの商品しょうひんも人気にんきです。

このお店みせを作つくるプロジェクトには、有名ゆうめいなファッションデザイナーのNIGOさんも参加さんかしています。コンビニですが、買かい物ものをするだけではなく、ファッションやデザインも楽たのしめる場所ばしょになっています👕✨

コンビニは「必要ひつようなものをすぐ買かう場所ばしょ」というイメージがありますが、FAMIMAは「行いくこと自体じたいを楽たのしむ場所ばしょ」を目指めざしています。オープンした日ひはたくさんの人ひとが訪おとずれ、大おおきな話題わだいになりました！

English Translation

In July 2026, FamilyMart launched a new type of convenience store called “FAMIMA.” The first store is “FAMIMA PARK AZABUDAI,” located in Azabudai, Tokyo.

It is a little different from a regular FamilyMart, and its theme is “a convenience store worth going out of your way to visit.”

“Wazawaza” means making a special effort or taking extra time to do something. So, “a convenience store you want to go out of your way to visit” means a convenience store you would want to visit even if it is a little far away.

There are benches outside the store, so customers can relax while enjoying coffee or Famichiki they bought inside. To make the store easier to use for visitors from overseas, there are multilingual signs and staff who can explain the products. There are also FAMIMA-exclusive goods and clothing, and products featuring the new official character are popular as well.

The famous fashion designer NIGO also took part in the project to create this store. Although it is a convenience store, it is also a place where people can enjoy fashion and design, not just shopping.

Convenience stores are usually thought of as places where you quickly buy things you need, but FAMIMA aims to be “a place where going there itself is enjoyable.” Many people visited the store on its opening day, and it became a big topic of conversation.
