My New Gardening Hobby in a Tiny Japanese Balcony

私わたしは前まえから植物しょくぶつや花はなを見みるのが好すきでしたが、今いままでガーデニングをしたことがありませんでした。でも、最近さいきん「何なにか新あたらしいことを始はじめたいな」と思おもって、小ちいさいベランダでガーデニングを始はじめました😊

私わたしの家いえには大おおきい庭にわがないので、ベランダの小ちいさいスペースでしています。今いまは3つの植物しょくぶつがあります。サボテンと、生徒せいとさんからもらったサンデリアナ、そしてお店みせで買かったジニアの花はなです。毎日水まいにちみずをあげたり、葉はを見みたりする時間じかんがとても楽たのしいです✨

これからコリアンダーも育そだてたいと思おもっています！料理りょうりに使つかうことができるので、とても楽たのしみです。自分じぶんで育そだてたコリアンダーを食たべるのは楽たのしいですよね😊

この前まえ、新宿駅しんじゅくえきの近ちかくでガーデニングのお店みせも見みつけました。そのお店みせには、たくさんの花はなや植物しょくぶつがあって、見みているだけでも楽たのしかったです。小ちいさい植物しょくぶつから大きい植物しょくぶつまでいろいろありました。いつかもっとたくさん育そだてたいです🌼

今年ことしは、もっと上手じょうずに花はなや植物しょくぶつのお世話せわができるようになりたいです！植物しょくぶつが元気げんきに大おおきくなるのを見みると、私わたしも元気げんきな気持きもちになります😊

【English Translation】

I’ve always liked looking at plants and flowers, but I had never done gardening before. Recently, though, I thought, “I want to start something new,” so I started gardening on my small balcony.

I don’t have a big garden at home, so I do gardening in the small space on my balcony. Right now, I have three plants: a cactus, a Sansevieria that I received from one of my students, and zinnia flowers that I bought at a store. I really enjoy spending time every day watering them and looking at their leaves.

Next, I want to grow coriander too! I’m excited because I can use it for cooking. It sounds fun to eat coriander that I grew by myself, doesn’t it?

The other day, I also found a gardening store near Shinjuku Station. The shop had so many flowers and plants, and it was fun just looking around. There were all kinds of plants, from small ones to large ones. Someday, I’d like to grow even more plants.

This year, I want to become better at taking care of flowers and plants! Seeing plants grow healthy and bigger makes me feel happy and energized too.
