Have you ever been to a music festival?

A music festival is an event where many artists come together to perform and enjoy music with the audience. In Japan, there are many music festivals, especially during the summer.

One of the most famous music festivals in Japan is SUMMER SONIC. It is often called “Samasoni” (サマソニ) in Japanese. Not only Japanese artists, but also famous artists from overseas perform at the festival.

Another famous festival is the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, often called “Fuji Rock.” It is a large music festival held at Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture. One of its biggest attractions is being able to enjoy music surrounded by nature. Some people even camp while enjoying the festival.

At music festivals, there is usually more than one stage. You can watch your favorite artists perform and discover new music too. There are also shops selling delicious food and drinks at the venue. Eating with friends while listening to music is another fun part of the festival!

Japanese summers are very hot, but music festivals can get even hotter! Listening to your favorite music and getting excited together with lots of people will surely become a wonderful memory.
