English Translation

The Asian Games 2026 are being held in Japan! This is the first time in 32 years that Japan has hosted the Asian Games. The host cities are Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya, which is also my hometown!

The Asian Games are a major sporting event where many athletes from countries and regions across Asia come together.

Of course, you can enjoy popular sports such as athletics, swimming, soccer, and basketball. But there are also sports that you may not know much about, such as sepak takraw and kabaddi! In the esports event, a game called “Puyo Puyo,” an 11-year-old girl won a gold medal!

I went to watch cross-country cycling! The athletes rode their bikes along bumpy trails through the forest. It was my first time watching cross-country, and I thought it was really exciting! The athletes had to ride up and down hills, and it looked really challenging. But many people were cheering loudly and supporting the athletes!

This event is a great opportunity to enjoy watching amazing performances by athletes from across Asia and experience the excitement of sports. I’m also happy to see so many people visiting Aichi and Nagoya and bringing so much energy to the city!

Are there any big sporting events in your hometown?
