風物詩ふうぶつしとは？

「風物詩ふうぶつし」とは、ある季節きせつを思おもい出ださせる物ものやイベントのことです。例たとえば、日本にほんの夏なつといえば「花火大会はなびたいかい」や「すいか」を思おもい出だす人ひとが多おおいです。このように、季節きせつを代表だいひょうする物ものや行事ぎょうじを「風物詩ふうぶつし」と言いいます。

1. 花火大会はなびたいかい

夏なつといえば、夜空よぞらに大おおきな花火はなびが上あがります。色いろとりどりの花火はなびを見みて、多おおくの人ひとが夏なつを感かんじます。花火大会はなびたいかいは全国ぜんこくで行おこなわれますよ！今年ことしのスケジュールを是非ぜひチェックしてみてください！

2. セミ

夏なつになると、日本にほんの町まちや公園こうえんでたくさんのセミの声こえが聞きこえます。「ミーンミーン」や「ジージー」と鳴なく声こえは、日本にほんの夏なつの音おとです。少すこしうるさいと思おもう人ひともいますが、この音おとがすると夏なつだな～と思おもいますね！

3. 風鈴ふうりん

家いえの窓まどにかける小ちいさな鐘かねのような物ものです。風かぜが吹ふくと「チリンチリン」と音おとがして、涼すずしい気持きもちになります。見みたことがありますか？

4. すいか

夏なつの果物くだものといえばすいかですよ！今日きょうも食たべました（笑）大おおきくて甘あまいすいかを家族かぞくや友達ともだちと食たべるのは、夏なつの楽たのしい思おもい出でです。「すいか割わり」という遊あそびもあります！（右みぎの写真しゃしん→）

「夏なつの風物詩ふうぶつし」は、日本人にほんじんにとって季節きせつを感かんじる大切たいせつな物ものです。味あじや音おとによく関係かんけいしていますね～

Hello everyone! It’s already mid-August… time flies! Today, let’s talk about “Natsu no Fuubutsushi” (Summer Seasonal Traditions).

What is 風物詩 (fuubutsushi)?

“Fūbutsushi” means things or events that remind us of a certain season. For example, when people think of summer in Japan, many remember fireworks festivals or watermelons. These kinds of events or things that represent a season are called “fūbutsushi.”

1. Fireworks Festivals

Speaking of summer, big fireworks light up the night sky. Watching colorful fireworks makes many people feel the season. Fireworks festivals are held all over Japan! Be sure to check this year’s schedule!

2. Cicadas

In summer, you can hear many cicadas in towns and parks across Japan. Their sounds—“miiin miiin” or “jii jii”—are the voices of summer. Some people think they are a bit noisy, but when you hear them, you can’t help but think, “Ah, it’s summer!”

3. Wind Chimes

Wind chimes are small bell-like objects that people hang by the window. When the wind blows, they make a “chirin chirin” sound, and you feel cool and refreshed. Have you seen one before?

4. Watermelon

When it comes to summer fruit, it’s watermelon! I ate some today (haha). Eating a big, sweet watermelon with family or friends is a fun summer memory. There is also a game called “suika-wari” (watermelon splitting)! (See the photo on the right →)

“Summer fuubutsushi” are important things for Japanese people to feel the season. They are often connected with taste and sound.
