今日は東京で「東京マラソン」がありました。東京マラソンは1年に1回ある、とても大きいマラソン大会です。日本人はもちろんですが、世界中から参加者が集まります。2024年の東京マラソンもたくさんの人が参加したり応援に来たりしていました。今年は参加者が今までで一番多くて、ニュースによると、5万人ぐらいのランナーがこの大会に参加したそうです。とても多くてびっくりしました！
このマラソン大会は、東京都庁からスタートします。東京都庁は東京の中心部で英語では”Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building”と言います。新宿にある大きい建物です。無料の展望台もあって、とても綺麗なのでぜひ行ってみてください。朝8時ぐらいに東京都庁へ見に行きましたが、本当にたくさんの人がいました。アニメのキャラクターや動物など、可愛いコスチュームを着ている人もたくさんいたので、見ているだけでもとても面白かったです。実際のスタート地点は入れなかったので、近くの橋の上から見下ろしていました。
マラソンはテレビでも見れます。最後までずっと見たい人は家で見るのがおすすめです。でも終わるまで6時間ぐらいかかるのでとても長いです。お昼を食べて、午後2時頃ゴールの東京駅へ行きました。そこにも多くの人が家族や友達を応援しに来ていて、とても感動しました。
来年は私も参加したいです！でももっと練習しなきゃいけません。来年は早すぎるかもしれませんね… 再来年に参加するかもしれません（笑）

Today, in Tokyo, there was the “Tokyo Marathon”. The Tokyo Marathon is a very large marathon event that occurs once a year. Participants come not only from Japan but also from all over the world. The 2024 Tokyo Marathon had a lot of participants and supporters. This year, there were the most participants ever, with about 50,000 runners according to the news. It was surprising to see so many!
The marathon starts from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. In English, it’s called the “Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building” and it’s located in the central area of Tokyo and is a large building in Shinjuku. I couldn’t get into the actual starting point of the marathon, so I watched from a nearby bridge.
You can also watch the marathon on TV. For those who want to watch it until the end, it’s recommended to watch it at home. However, it takes about 6 hours until it finishes, so it’s very long. After having lunch, I went to Tokyo Station, the finish line, around 2 p.m. There were many people there to support their families and friends, and it was very touching.
I want to participate next year! But I need to practice more. It might be too early for next year… Maybe I’ll participate the year after (lol).
