時期（じき）— Time / Period / Season

時期（じき） refers to a particular period or point in time when something happens or is suitable to happen.

Examples

桜さくらが咲さく時期じきです。
→ It’s the time of year when cherry blossoms bloom.

今いまは旅行りょこうするのにいい時期じきです。

時代 vs. 時期

A simple way to remember:

時代（じだい） = What era are we in? 🌍
